Established in 2004, the Central Falls Police Department Honor Guard is a ceremonial unit comprised of volunteers who are carefully screened for their physical ability and dexterity. Only those persons who are highly motivated, maintain exceptionally high standards of appearance and conduct, and show aptitude for ceremonial duty are likely to be considered.
The primary mission of the Honor Guard is to provide funeral honors and serve as the “guardians of the colors” by displaying and escorting the national, state and municipal flags at parades, ceremonies and other events deemed appropriate by the Chief of Police.
The Central Falls Police Department has a history rich in distinction. The Honor Guard does well to uphold and showcase our traditions both past and present.
